NEW YORK L TRAIN TO BROOKLYN size: 3000mm x 2800 mm

NEW YORK L TRAIN TO BROOKLYN size: 3000mm x 2800 mm

I used acrylic and water colours on canvas. The painting was inspired by a visit to New York.
I used the L train from Manhattan to my hostel in the (Puerto Rican district) of Brooklyn. The Subway was electric with people from all around the globe,This painting was a way for me to encapsulate my experiences on the New York L train. The place were they all meet is a the thriving hot bed of culture and creativity.

The writing on each of the books rate extracts from various books i was reading at the time. They are personally inspirational.

I used an old drawing board i found in a skip near my house as a easel and i also used it to practice my graffiti techniques.'as you can see'.
